Which certification is best for program management depends upon your location. If you are based in the UK, Australia, New Zealand or Europe then Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) is the most popular program management certification. MSP certification is available at 2 levels: Foundation and Practitioner. Certification can be achieved by passing the exam(s).
If you are based in North America, Asia, MENA or Africa, then the Project Management Institute's Program Management Professional (PgMP)® is the preferred certification. Certification is achieved by passing the PgMP® exam, and by having several years' experience of program management. To maintain your PgMP® certification you must achieve annual professional development units (PDUs).
